Crew Box Office Collection Day 1

In a groundbreaking turn of events, the much-anticipated Bollywood flick “Crew” has made waves at the box office, raking in an impressive Rs 8.75 crore on its debut day. Led by the stellar trio of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, the film, helmed by director Rajesh Krishnan, has firmly secured its place as the year’s third-biggest opener in Hindi cinema.

The film’s arrival coincided with the release of “Aadujeevitham” and a clash with the formidable “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire King.” Despite the competition, “Crew” held its ground, though facing a stiff challenge from the latter. While “Aadujeevitham” managed to garner Rs 15 crore in its initial two days, “Godzilla X Kong” soared with a collection of Rs 13.80 crore on its opening day.

What sets “Crew” apart is its refreshing departure from the conventional male-dominated cast prevalent in mainstream Hindi cinema. With Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh offering strong supporting performances, the film has defied norms and emerged as a game-changer. Surpassing the likes of “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, which opened with Rs 7.02 crore, “Crew” has solidified its position among the year’s top contenders.

For Kareena Kapoor Khan, “Crew” marks a significant return to the silver screen after her last theatrical outing, “Laal Singh Chaddha,” failed to make a mark. Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon continues her winning streak following the success of “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” which grossed Rs 82 crore. Tabu, known for her powerhouse performances, adds her magic touch to “Crew” after her previous hit, “Drishyam 2,” amassed a whopping Rs 240.54 crore at the box office.

Behind the scenes, “Crew” boasts a powerhouse production team with Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Digvijay Purohit joining forces under Balaji Motion Pictures and Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network. While Ekta and Rhea’s previous collaboration, “Thank You For Coming,” failed to impress critics and audiences alike, “Crew” signifies a remarkable turnaround, setting a new standard for cinematic excellence.

With its stellar cast, intense competition, and groundbreaking premise, “Crew” not only dominates the box office but also leaves an indelible mark on the landscape of Hindi cinema, proving that success knows no bounds.
